Lacy Bonner- Founder I opened Hillsborough Preschool in the summer of 1999. After graduating from college with a degree in education, I taught second grade for two years in the public school system. After two years of teaching, my dream of opening a quality preschool came true. With the belief that all children can and want to learn, Hillsborough created an academic preschool that applies its curriculum developmentally. It is a wonderful mixture of learning through creative play, manipulatives, technology, and of course a wonderful staff. I have been married for 18 years and have three beautiful children.
Miss Cheri- Director Dear Families and friends of Hillsborough, it is such an honor to be the Director here at Hillsborough. With my Bachelors in Liberal Arts and Masters in Education, I have truly enjoyed growing in this field. I taught Junior Kindergarten for several years and have been working in childcare for many years now. It is such a joy to come in each day and to have an impact on the little minds before us. I strive to provide an environment where every child feels loved, engaged and safe. Hillsborough has become my home and our community has become family.
Miss Sheila - Red Room (Preschool) Hello, my name is Miss Sheila. I have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering. I took Child development classes at Fullerton College and have been working in the preschool environment for over 10 years now. I love working with young children and helping them grow developmentally and academically. I am so happy to be a part of the Hillsborough Family.
Miss Kaci- Yellow Room Teacher (Toddler) After working with children for over 9 years it is such a joy to be in the two year old classroom. I am currently attending Fullerton College to further my education and earn my degree in Child Development and Adolescence. I love animals and personally own a dog, two cats, a gecko, and a snake! One of my favorite aspects of teaching is being able to watch your children learn through art, music, and creative play and to see them experience their "ah-ha" moments where they begin to understand the world around them.
Miss Debra- Green Room (Pre-Kindergarten) I have taught Pre-K for 17 years, 7 of those years here at Hillsborough. My education is from California State University Fullerton, earning my Bachelors Degree in Child Development. I love it at Hillsborough, it's a wonderful school that loves and cares about all the children and teaches them well!
Miss Stephanie- Green Room (Pre-Kindergarten) I am currently getting ready to transfer to Cal State Fullerton where I will continue to work on my Degree in Child Development and Adolescence. I love filling our afternoons with exciting cooking projects and science activities!
Miss Amanda- Blue Room (Jr-Kindergarten) I have a strong passion for the field of child development, as well as a strong willingness to advocate for early childhood education. I believe that education should not only focus on one aspect of growth but to encompass the many domains and stages of the individual child. I hold my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Child and Adolescent Development from Cal State Fullerton.
